Laundry Soap Powder with Essential Oils and Handmade Lard + Tallow Soap

$26.00

Laundry soap powder made with just SFH soap, washing soda, borax, bentonite clay and essential oils or fragrance (or of course, unscented!). I make a soap specifically for this laundry powder as it powders finely really well, it is simply equal parts tallow, lard, and coconut oil. The base soap is unscented, so if you get the unscented version it has no fragrance or essential oils used whatsoever. If you get a scented version, I add that to the finished powder after it is made.

This is all I have used for many years now, it does a great job getting clothes clean. I have an HE front-loading washer, and it works well, no issues whatsoever. The original recipe does include citric acid, but I have never been able to keep that formula from clumping badly, into a brick! So, I do not include it in this powder, instead just add some vinegar or citric acid to your rinse/fabric softener dispenser and it will have the same effect.

I am starting this listing with just a few "obvious" candidates for scents - if you have a recommendation please let me know, I'm happy to make this in whatever fragrance is desired, and the more requests I get for something, the more likely I am to add it to the regular line-up!

These are 30 oz of powder, packaged in up-cycled bottles that I receive lye in for making soap. They have been thoroughly washed and are sturdy plastic with child-proof lids. I am happy to take the bottles back, if you save up a few and contact me I can send you a shipping label to return them.
