Oak Moss + Amber Tallow + Lard Soap - Celtic Knot Soap

from $4.50

This soap is a luxury version of a basic lard soap - it is loaded with moisturizers, and more than 2/3 of the ingredients are from Solace Farm or other local farms - I use our own grass-fed beef tallow and goat milk, and local pastured lard that I render here on the farm, in addition to Shea butter, and coconut, olive, & castor oils, and this bar has French green clay added for a hint of green-gray color. I love a good, hard soap and this bar fits the bill! With the Shea butter, tallow, and castor oils it is still very moisturizing, but rinses clean and (still with proper care of course) should remain nice and firm - not mushy - to the end. Most soaps are about 1/3 firm-at-room-temperature ingredients, which carries over to the firmness of the finished soap, but this soap is 2/3!

This Oak Moss + Amber fragrance is designed to be a masculine scent. I find it hard to decribe, but the manufacturer description says it includes notes of citrus, sage, lavender, and of course oak moss and amber. Personally, this smells like a classic "freshly clean" type cologne or aftershave - if I renamed it, it might be "Freshly Shaved" or "Rainforest" or something similar.

This bar comes in a round Celtic knot bar usually 3.5-4 oz, packaged in a brown paperboard box (plastic-free packaging), and 4-5 oz plain squares wrapped in hand-cut brown paper, with labels that include all ingredients, as listed above.

I also make this soap in a smaller 2 oz size, perfect for gifts, guest bathrooms, or just trying out the scent to see if you like it as much as I do!  These are square bars with a bee embossed in the top, and come in a handcut, hand-folded origami box with lid, also brown paper.
