Patchouli Rose Tallow + Lard Goat Milk Soap, Rose and Chrysanthemum Soaps with Essential Oils
This soap is a luxury version of my basic lard soap - it is loaded with moisturizers, and more than 2/3 of the ingredients are from Solace Farm or other local farms - I use our own grass-fed beef tallow and goat milk, and local pastured lard that I render here on the farm, in addition to Shea butter, and coconut, olive, & castor oils.
I scented this soap with a blend of Patchouli and Palmarosa essential oils. Palmarosa is a grass-type plant much like lemongrass, and has a unique scent - it has a lemongrass fragrance but also a rose-like aroma. I have never really enjoyed rose fragrances before, but I love this one! I also love it blended with the dark, musky patchouli - they balance wonderfully and the result is neither too heavy, too floral, or too light. This soap is tinted pink with a blend of iron oxide-based mica colors.
I make this in a variety of floral molds - a square rose, a round chrysanthemum, and 3 different styles of square hibiscus, as well as a plain square bar - simply choose which you prefer from the dropdown box. These are all packaged in brown paper boxes, and the plain squares are wrapped in hand-cut brown paper bands, all with labels that include all ingredients: goat milk, tallow, lard, shea butter, coconut, olive and castor oils, lye (sodium hydroxide), and palmarosa and patchouli essential oils.
I also make this soap in a smaller 2 oz size, perfect for gifts, guest bathrooms, or just trying out the scent to see if you like it as much as I do! These are square bars with a honeybee embossed in the top, and come in a hand-cut, hand-folded origami box with lid, also brown paper.
