Tunis Fleece, Whole Raw Sheep Fleece SE2SE Breed, 2.7 lbs Skirted

$40.00
Sold Out
Full-blood Tunis fleece, 2.7 lbs well-skirted with low VM, staple mostly ~2.5-3.5” - this fleece is a bit short around the edges which I included because it is absolutely gorgeous, very fine fiber especially on the front half, with such fine tight crimp that it stretches almost twice as long on those short, crimpy edges (see last photo from cut side). Beautiful white-cream color, medium-light grease, 2024 shearing (3-17-24) of a 2023-born ewe lamb.

I have SE2SE stickers upon request - please add a note if you would like one sent, I will NOT send one unless requested.

I skirt heavily, even on whole raw fleeces - I am a hand-spinner and process my own wool so I know how annoying second cuts and lower quality areas are, and see no point in trying to sell them to you, so I skirt off any of the thighs that are noticeably kempy or coarse, and I go over the whole fleece very carefully for second cuts. I can’t guarantee that I didn’t miss anything, of course, but this is what I consider wash-ready when I am processing it. I also give it lots of shaking, so a majority of the VM is out as well.

I have a number of fleeces I haven’t found time to list, including numerous alpaca fleeces in several colors, so if you’d like a sample of something else please ask!
